Erik Edman doesn't mix his words when it comes to describing Jermain Defoe.
The Swedish defender labelled the young striker's golden goal against Birmingham City as 'world class'.
Erik, who has made a fine start to his Spurs career after moving from Heerenveen in Hollan, has been suitably impressed by Jermain, the star of the show so far with three goals in four games as we sit fourth in the Premiership, unbeaten after four games.
Jermain's latest strike was his best so far to seal the points against the Blues on Saturday.
"It was a world-class goal and maybe, at this moment, Jermain is the best striker in the league," said Erik.
"He's got the pace, so quick and he can strike like a cobra. He can also make things happen and he's in fantastic form.
"It's fantastic to take three points in game like that, at the start of the season, especially at home and against a very strong side."
