IT HAS to be said we didn't play as well as we have in recent weeks against Manchester City on Saturday but that's the way the game is and it hasn't done us any harm to get the maximum points. That's what it's all about, after all. The ideal scenario is to get the performance and the points but the points are the most important thing.
Our football has been good over the last couple of weeks but we've been a bit unfortunate in front of goal.
Saturday was a game where there weren't that many chances and probably two scrappy goals but they were very welcome.
We're still well-placed in the table and it goes to show you that apart from the top three there are so many points to play for. Everton have had a wonderful season but they've dropped a few points of late, Liverpool will now want to kick on further after a very good result but there are places to play for. We're fortunate in that some results have gone for us like Southampton at Middlesbrough with the extra goal at the end lifting us up a place. That goes to show how tight it is.
Back at Spurs Lodge and before jetting off to join the Republic of Ireland, Chris Hughton gives a more reflective view of Saturday's win against Manchester City.
