The result is in - Jimmy Greaves and Bobby Smith's strike partnership is the best in our history, according to fans voting on this website!
Arguably the most feared pairing in European football in their heyday in the early 1960s, the pair placed one and two in our all-time individual goalscoring list came out on top in the vote held over the last week.
Greaves and Smith fired us to the FA Cup in 1962 and European Cup Winners Cup in 1963 and polled 35.67 per cent of the votes.
That was enough to topple current goal-den boys Dimitar Berbatov and Robbie Keane, whose prolific partnership prompted the 'best ever' vote. They have bagged 91 goals between them in all competitions in the last two seasons with 45 in 2006-07 and another 46 last term and polled 21.23 per cent.
Jurgen Klinsmann and Teddy Sheringham, who had that memorable link-up in the 1994-95 season, were third out of five with 17.35 per cent. They are the last pair to top the 50-goal mark in all competitions with 52 in that campaign.
Our lethal pairing of the early 1980s Steve Archibald and Garth Crooks were next on 16.66 per cent with 1970s hitmen Martin Chivers and Alan Gilzean on 9.09.
As always, a big thanks to everyone who took time to vote!
