Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

A is for ACTOR…If you were an actor, who would your leading lady be?
I’d probably choose Jennifer Aniston.

B is for BOREDOM…What do you take on a long journey to keep you occupied/amused?
A portable DVD player.

C is for CARTOONS…Who is your favourite cartoon character?
The bulldog out of Tom and Jerry, not sure if he’s even got a name!

D is for DESTINATION…What is your favourite town/city and why?
Bournemouth, I was born down there and spent a lot of time there when I was growing up, lovely beaches, good golf courses, a great place.

E is for ELECTRONIC…Are you a gadgets person and what is the most hi-tec piece of equipment you own?
Yes, I am a bit of a gadgets man. I think the best thing I ever bought was the portable DVD player for those long journeys, it’s great and I’ve got it chipped to play American DVDs too.

F is for FAMOUS…What’s the best/worst thing about being famous?
The best thing is that it means you are successful in whatever you do, and that gives you personal pride. The worst things are that people feel they can talk to you how they like and write whatever they want, but the pros far outweigh the cons.

G is for GROUNDHOG…Which day would you like to repeat over and over again?
I’ve a few actually. My debut for England against Colombia, when their goalkeeper Rene Higuita did that ‘scorpion’ save, my Tottenham home debut when I scored against Aston Villa and also my debut for Liverpool, I also scored that day as well. And when I found out my wife was pregnant, all great days.

H is for HARASS…What annoys you, or winds you up?
Rude people. I don’t really like smoking either.

I is for ICON…Who is your all-time favourite sports person?
Michael Jordan. Obviously there have been some great footballers like Maradona and Pele, but I don’t think anyone has dominated their sport for so long as Michael has. I went with Louise to see him playing for Chicago Bulls against Utah Jazz in the NBA Finals, it was excellent.

J is for JACKET POTATO…What filling would you have in a jacket potato
Cheese probably.

K is for KARAOKE…If you had to sing a song, which one would it be?
Being a very average singer, it would probably be something obvious like ‘My Way’ by Frank Sinatra.

L is for LUCKY…Do you have a lucky charm or a superstition?
I’m not too superstitious, they change week to week depending on how I’m playing or how the matches are going, but certainly there isn’t one in particular I could put my finger on.

M is for MOVIES…What’s the last film you saw?
The last one was The Passion of Christ.

N is for NERVOUS…What are you scared of?
I don’t like snakes!

O is for ORIENT EXPRESS…What’s the best journey you’ve ever been on?
I always enjoy going on holidays, I’d say a trip to Sardinia would be my best.

P is for PARANORMAL…Do you believe in ghosts? Have you ever seen a ghost?
I’ve never seen a ghost, but I do believe in them. I’m too scared to say I don’t because I’m sure there must be something out there!

Q is for QUICK…Who’s the quickest player you’ve ever played against?
I’ve been up against players like Michael Owen, but in my position in midfield I would say Steven Gerrard, he’s very quick.

R is for RECIPE…When did you last cook…and what did you cook?
I like cooking, things like pasta and chicken, and the last time was probably last week sometime.

S is for SOUNDS…What did you usually listen to in the car on the way in today?
Snow Patrol’s CD

T is for TOMORROW…What do you always put off until tomorrow?
Meetings! After training I like to just go home and wind down, and if I can get out of any meetings I will!

U is for UNEXPECTED…What’s the biggest surprise you’ve ever had?
At my 30th birthday last year I had loads of family and friends around and Louise had put together a compilation video of different people I’d played with, goals I’d scored and played it on a big screen at the party. It was excellent, former team-mates and friends saying a few words of congratulations — and other things! It was a lovely surprise.

V is for VANILLA…What’s your favourite ice cream flavour?
I love ice cream, that’s my biggest vice. Any flavour at all, I love them all!

W is for WITHOUT…Is there anything that you just can’t live without?
Ice cream!

X is for XYLOPHONE…Have you ever played a musical instrument?
No, I’ve never played one. I did have a bash at the drums once, but it was very hard, you need incredible rhythm and I don’t have that!

Y is for YELLOW CARD…When did you last get a yellow card, and did you deserve it?
It was for the tackle on Tim Cahill against Everton earlier this season. I don’t think I deserved it, I thought it was a fair challenge!

Z is for ZOO…What’s your favourite animal at the zoo?
That would have to be the monkeys, they’re great.
