Joe Jordan praised the all-round contribution of Gareth Bale after the 4-2 win against Blackburn.
The in-form winger caught the eye again with the first and last goals in an important Premier League victory at the Lane.
Gareth's opener was an instinctive header at the near post from Rafael van der Vaart's corner to set us on our way. He then found the bottom corner from close range to make it 4-0 after 75 minutes.
He also set-up Roman Pavlyuchenko's header with a fantastic cross on the run for 2-0 before half-time with Peter Crouch sliding in the third goal.
"Gareth is a provider and he's also scoring goals, he's doing both," said coach Joe.
"He is so positive going forward but there is never reluctance on his part to get back in and do a shift when we haven't got the ball.
"He's got that great work ethic and the engine to do it."
