We have the biggest supporter base of all Premier League clubs in the US and once again, fans travelled from all corners of America to watch the team live Stateside, with thousands turning up for Open Training before taking their place in the sell-out crowd at Dick's Sporting Goods Park for Wednesday night’s prestigious game.
They also packed the nearby Blake Street Tavern to the rafters for a special Q&A and signing session with legendary former players and now Club Ambassadors Brad Friedel and Ledley King, and were out in force at a number of other special events we were involved in during our time in Colorado.
Clearly delighted with the reception we received, Mauricio paid tribute to our fans in the States as we continue to count down the days to next week’s Audi Cup in Munich and the start of the Premier League season on August 8.
"Our supporters have created a fantastic atmosphere here," he said after our narrow 2-1 defeat to the All-Stars.
"It's the second year in a row that we’ve come to America after last pre-season and it’s important to share a good time with our fans.
"We've had a great trip and I want to say thank you to everyone for their support – they have been great today, yesterday and every day."
