Goalkeeper 'Robbo' has played behind Terry in recent England internationals against Poland and Spain but will now be on opposite sides when league leaders Chelsea arrive at the Lane on Saturday.
A tall, dominant centre-half with excellent distribution, Terry, 24, is the English heartbeat of Chelsea alongside Frank Lampard.
"I know John Terry and Frank Lampard from England and when you look at Chelsea, those two have probably been the most consistent all season and that says it all," said Robbo, whose clean sheet at Stamford Bridge back in September is one of 12 recorded this season.
"Both are very good at what they do for club and country.
"I've played behind JT for England and as a defender, he's got everything.
"First and foremost he's a great defender, so solid in the air and in the tackle and he can pass it as well.
"He's a footballer, not just a defender and a great player."
Robbo also had praise for the Blues' Czech goalkeeper Petr Cech - he's kept an amazing 19 clean sheets in his 27 games this season plus another five on international duty!
"He's done very well," he added. "To go into such a big club and perform how he's performed this season has been fantastic.
"Granted, he's not been tested that much but to keep the amount of clean sheets that he's done is a big achievement for any goalkeeper."
