"I've played twice in Portugal and won both times so it is a good country for me," revealed the combative midfielder. "Portuguese teams are always very good with a lot of technical players, so we have to make sure we get something from there and an away goal is very important.
"We haven't played in the UEFA Cup for a little while and this is where the real European competition starts. We have to keep going and do what we did in our last games, confidence is high whenever you win and everybody is determined to do well."
Meanwhile, Teemu was happy to reflect on his contribution to Sunday's victory over West Ham which made it three Premiership wins on the spin after a dramatic afternoon at Upton Park.
"I think it must have been a great game to watch - and it was a great game to play in as well! West Ham started very brightly and went two up so it became very difficult, but at half time we said we had to really show what we are about.
"I think we came out with a brave approach and got the boost to our confidence with the early goal. Even though they went ahead again we got the three points and it was a very important win for us.
"It is always nice to get a goal, it doesn't happen too often for me so it was good."
