Teddy Sheringham is determined to secure seventh spot in the Premiership by going out with a bang at Filbert Street.
Victory over already-relegated Leicester City will put the issue beyond doubt but there can be little room for error with West Ham level on points and facing Bolton at Upton Park.
"It's important for Tottenham that we finish in seventh spot," declared Teddy, boosted yesterday by his inclusion in England's World Cup squad.
"Our aim was to finish in Europe in some capacity but we're not so progression was the important step and we can all see that we've done that this season.
"If we can finish in that seventh spot it will leave us with plenty of optimism for the start next season."
Teddy agrees with Glenn Hoddle that Saturday's finale and the last fixture at Filbert Street will be anything but an end-of-season affair.
Our super skipper added: "They will want to go out on a high, without a doubt.
"A new manager has taken over and players are playing for their futures. I don't think it will be like an end-of-season game, put it that way."
