As I've said in previous columns, I thought there would be a lot of ups and downs between now and the end of the season. Let's hope we've had all of our downs in quick succession after our last two matches.
It's time that we put a run together if we are seriously thinking about getting into Europe, which has always been our aim since the start of the season. We've a lot of difficult games coming up on paper, but it's amazing what results you get when maybe you shouldn't and results you don't get when you should.
It's going to take a big effort from everyone concerned to get us back on the right track and I know we'll all pull together and hopefully get the necessary points to
get us into a top six place.
It was frustrating not to beat Fulham. It was a tough game, they worked very hard after going down to 10 men and in the end, credit to them because it was a fair result, we didn't really deserve to beat them, even though we were bitterly upset not to get the three points.
Of course the West Ham result was very disappointing. You look at that fixture and would expect to pick up three points, because they aren't having the best of times. But they showed they are no mugs and that anyone can beat anybody else on the day whether you are riding high or struggling at the bottom.
Having said all that, today's game against Liverpool is a massive match, one which everyone wants to play in, against one of the best sides in Europe. We'll be giving it our best shot to try to get the three points and get back up alongside them in the league.
Enjoy the game.
