Back in August, 1992, my boyhood dream came true when I made my first appearance for the Club.
From then on over the next five years of my first spell, things were very up and down and due to those various circumstances, I decided to leave and join Manchester United in June, 1997.
A couple of months later in August, you all made your feelings clear over how you felt about my decision to move. However, I always realised and understood the situation and the warmth
I felt for this Club never left me.
So when I got the opportunity to return here in the summer of 2001 I jumped at the chance. To play in this lovely arena at White Hart Lane again was a dream come true and I still love every minute of it.
It will be a very emotional day for me today.
I've really enjoyed coming back and playing here for the last two years. I wish the players every success, we have some outstanding players who I have thoroughly enjoyed playing alongside over the last two seasons.
I really felt that we had the balance between young and old, youth and experience, but sadly that blend hasn't quite materialised.
I'd also like to wish all our supporters success, it's well overdue for Tottenham Hotspur.
As of yet, I don't know what I'll be doing next season but at the end of the campaign I will sit down and listen to offers.
Enjoy the game and you never know, I might see you all again sometime in some other capacity at the Club.
As you are all well aware, this will be my last game for Tottenham Hotspur.
