The boss was delighted for his skipper after he notched up his 300th club goal in Saturday's 4-1 win against Sunderland.
Teddy, 36, is only the second player currently in action in the Premiership alongside Alan Shearer to have passed that mark.
Glenn said: "From his first goal at Millwall to this one, not only has he proved a great goalscorer but also a great creator as well.
"He's had both sides to that coin wherever he's played and it just shows what an invaluable player he is.
"It's delightful that he got that goal because sometimes it can play on your mind. I know it's stupid, but it can do.
"It's like a cricketer on 99, you get a mental block and can't beat it. We're delighted he's got it and congratulations to him, it's a great milestone."
Glenn Hoddle has described Teddy Sheringham as an 'invaluable' player.
