It was widely reported that the skipper launched an attack on our North London neighbours when asked for his opinions ahead of their clash against Manchester United on Saturday.
But Teddy is disappointed with how his comments have come across.
He said this afternoon: "I never said I hated Arsenal. I would never say that about any opposition team or player. It is too strong a word.
"I was asked who I wanted to win between United and Arsenal and naturally I said United. That's hardly surprising considering I used to play for United and I'm now at Spurs."
Teddy Sheringham has strenuously denied suggestions in today's media stating that he 'hates' Arsenal.
