Big Les faces us for the first time since moving to West Ham in January in a vital clash at Upton Park on Saturday.
"All the lads have been talking about it this week," said skipper Teddy. "He will be hoping to score his first West Ham goal against us this week.
"He came close at West Brom last week, hit the bar, but he will definitely want to score against us, no doubting that."
Teddy spent the majority of last season up front alongside Les and is perfectly positioned to to talk about his attributes.
"Very good in the air for not the tallest fella, can always score a goal, always dangerous, lot of pace about him, lot of strength and we'll have to be on our toes.
"He's one of the best, no doubt about it. We had contrasting styles, which always helps and I thoroughly enjoyed playing alongside him."
Teddy Sheringham has revealed that Les Ferdinand has been the talk of the training ground this week.
