Reports last week suggested that Teddy was considering taking his coaching badges in preparation for a long-term future in the game, but our departing skipper is currently only concentrating on playing options.
"I'm not that interested in it at the moment," conceded Teddy. "I still feel that the best years are when you're playing and I want to carry on doing that - wherever it may be.
"I honestly don't know what is happening next season. I'll put my feelers out, see what happens and wait for offers to come in.
"People always say you'll really regret it when you finish playing football, it's one of those things that you really want to carry on doing.
"I feel healthy. I want to enjoy carrying on playing football and I still do - so why not carry on?"
Teddy Sheringham insists that a coaching position is low down on his list of priorities at the moment.
