Didier Zokora once again showed his versatility by featuring in an unfamiliar right-back role in our 2-0 win over Celtic on Friday.
We occasionally saw the Ivory Coast international do a job for Juande Ramos in defence last season, and he is happy to help out wherever he is needed as long as the team continue to perform.
Didier was able to use his pace to get forward down the right-hand side and join in with attacks, so he enjoyed the outing.
He said: "My first position is midfield but when the manager asks me to play elsewhere for the team I will do it because I love the team.
"Right-back is a good position for me because I can use my pace to get forward down the flank and attack the space.
"To be able to play in a variety of positions is great for me and I am very happy because the team played well."
And as well as his own confidence and fitness growing with every match, Didier feels the spirit within the camp is as good as ever going into the new season.
He added: "I've played three games of the pre-season so far and we've won them all, and it was especially pleasing to beat Celtic because they won their league.
"Benty's confidence keeps growing and I was also very happy for David Bentley to score in his first game.
"He, Luka and Gio have all scored for the Club already but I am still waiting after two years! But the most important thing is the team doing well."
