Harry Redknapp described another key win on the road at Blackburn as ‘a great team effort'.
Peter Crouch grabbed the headlines with a goal in each half to secure the 2-0 victory but in a hard-fought encounter, we were as much indebted to another determined defensive display as the matchwinner.
It was our fourth away win in the Barclays Premier League this term - already matching last season's total.
"Everybody worked hard and played their part," reflected Harry. "Michael Dawson's been great and he and Sebastien Bassong have done ever so well - they defended for their lives and we've Ledley coming back as well, so that gives us strength in depth.
"I felt Jermaine Jenas came on and gave us a lot of energy in midfield and that was good and Robbie Keane came on and both had a hand in Crouchy's goal, so all-round it was a good day.
"We were solid at the back and the goalkeeper did well for us. It is good to have a clean sheet, although three points is always all-important. All-round it was a tough game, not a pretty game of football but a great result for us."
The win made it six points in a week after the disappointment of losing out to Wolves last weekend.
"We started the week with a setback against Wolves and then we came back and had a fantastic result against Manchester City and now the three points at Rovers," added Harry.
"If at the start of the week you'd have said to me that we would get six points out of these three games I would have taken that for sure."
