Emmanuel Adebayor has highlighted the work ethic that is carrying the team on a crest of a winning wave at the moment.
It was seen in full effect in the recent win at Fulham, where we were pushed all the way before securing a 3-1 win at Craven Cottage.
Emmanuel might have scored both goals in Monday night’s win against Villa but his work off the ball, closing down, not letting Villa's defence settle, was just as noticeable and appreciated by team-mates and fans alike.
It all contributed towards our eighth win in our last nine matches in the Premier League, pushing us up to third in the table.
A tough trip to West Brom is next on Saturday and the striker insists it’s the work ethic that can make a difference.
“It’s not all about scoring goals, it’s about what you put into the game,” said Emmanuel. “You have to defend for the team, run for the team.
“Myself, Rafa, Aaron Lennon, Gareth, we all work back, we all defend for the team. We tackle, run, defend and to play well and win, everyone needs to work for the team.
“We said beforehand that we wanted to make it easy for ourselves against Villa.
"To do that we have to work hard, show character, defend as a team, attack as a team and we did that well. The result shows that.
“I don’t think we were under any real danger, they didn’t have many chances and we had a lot. It couldn’t have gone much better.”
