The Tottenham Hotspur Foundation (THF) teamed up with Colchester United’s Community Sports Trust on Tuesday as part of a project to promote team-building and diversity amongst young people.THF took 15 students from St Thomas More College in Wood Green to meet 15 students from Thurstable Sports College in Colchester, and they took part in a team building assault course led by the Parachute Regiment at Colchester Garrison.

The youngsters also competed in a football tournament and had the chance to meet Colchester United stars Karl Duguid and Jamie Guy.

It marked the start of a series of events between the two Clubs, which ties in with the up-coming Kick It Out ‘Week of Action’.

Next week, the group from Colchester will visit White Hart Lane’s very own THF Learning Zone and get the chance to interview one of our first-team players.

THF Education Manager Anna Rimington said: “It was a fantastic day in Colchester despite the torrential rain!

“Many thanks to Captain Rob Francis from the Parachute Regiment and his men for leading such a great morning and to all the staff at Colchester United for hosting us. We look forward to welcoming them to Spurs.”
