Aaron Lennon and Jermaine Jenas have been added to our Spurs XI squad for tonight's pre-season friendly at Bishop's Stortford.

It will be the first pre-season action of the summer for the pair who returned to training last Friday after their involvement in the World Cup.

Paul Robinson, Michael Carrick, Lee Young-Pyo and Didier Zokora will wait a little longer for their first involvement after only returning to Spurs Lodge on Monday.

Boss Martin Jol said: “It’s important for the players that they get 45 minutes under their belts and Jermaine Jenas and Aaron Lennon will do that alongside the likes of Danny Murphy, who will hopefully get 90 minutes.

“We have to find the right balance in the work load during training sessions and in games so even when players aren’t playing matches they will have a session in the gym or the pool – if you have a lot of players they still have to work because that’s important at this stage of our preparations.â€Â

Kick-off at Woodside Park is 7.45pm.

Squad: Fulop, Forecast, Ifil, Lee, Davenport, Ziegler, Riley, Lennon, Galitsios, Jenas, Murphy, Daniels, McKenna, O’Hara, Maghoma, Dawkins, Barnard, Barcham.
