Paul Stalteri continues on his comeback trail and joins a number of first team squad members in our Spurs XI's friendly at Dover Athletic tonight.

The Canadian full-back returned to pre-season action with a substitute appearance against Borussia Dortmund on Saturday after suffering a twisted ankle in our training camp in France.

He will get more minutes under his belt at the Crabble Athletic Ground and is joined by Radek Cerny, Phil Ifil, Anthony Gardner, Wayne Routledge, Tom Huddlestone, Reto Ziegler and Academy striker Terry Dixon, who has just been called into the Republic of Ireland squad for next week's friendly against Holland.

The summer has gone well for the Spurs XI team with the introduction of the likes of Didier Zokora, Aaron Lennon, Jermaine Jenas and Lee Young-Pyo back into pre-season action and the youngsters showing their worth.

Development coach Clive Allen said: "It's another step up, strong opposition and more game time for the senior players, which is very important.

"For the youngsters playing with the senior boys it's a chance of 90 minutes at a high level. Training has picked up, fitness is improving and we're getting up to speed. It's a case of taking it into the games now."

Kick-off tonight is 7.45pm.

Spurs XI: Cerny, Stroud, Ifil, C Lee, Gardner, Stalteri, Defendi, Lewis, Mills, Riley, Dixon, Routledge, Huddlestone, Ziegler, Daniels, O'Hara, Maghoma, Barcham.
