The midfield pair were forced off with injury during the course of last weekend's game against Aston Villa with a hairline fracture of the fibula and an ankle problem respectively.
The good news is, Jermaine Jenas, who was stretchered off after a clash of heads in the same game, has returned to training and is fit and ready for the Craven Cottage clash.
"As I have said before, we have a problem with Edgar Davids and Teemu Tainio, who are still injured," said the Head Coach
"JJ is back in training so he is okay, but Mido and Noureddine Naybet are at the African Cup.
"Anthony Gardner had a slight problem but has trained and Andy Reid has played a reserve game now.
"Aside from the players I have mentioned, everybody else is fine."
Martin Jol reports that Edgar Davids and Teemu Tainio are major doubts for the trip to Fulham on Tuesday evening.
