Younes Kaboul returns but Harry Redknapp is waiting on the fitness of a number of players before Saturday's Premier League clash against Stoke.
The defender is back and available for selection after recent knee and thigh injuries. He's been out since January.
It's a case of 'wait and see' for Aaron Lennon (illness), Niko Kranjcar (foot) and Vedran Corluka (ankle).
"Hopefully Aaron is picking up a bit but we'll have to wait and see," reported Harry before training on Friday. "He's doubtful but if he trains okay, he'll have a chance. If he doesn't, he'll have no chance.
"Charlie (Vedran) is not too bad. He'll do a bit of jogging today and we'll fitness test him tomorrow.
"Niko kicked the bottom of someone's boot at Wigan and he's struggling."
Steven Pienaar missed the trip to Madrid with a groin problem and has joined Alan Hutton (knee), Wilson Palacios (knee), Ledley King (groin) and Jonathan Woodgate (groin) on the sidelines.
"We've a few injuries but we'll have 11 good players out there, whoever plays," added Harry.
