The midfielder picked up a calf injury at Old Trafford on Tuesday and joins Fredi Kanoute (hamstring), Michael Brown (groin) and Jermain Defoe (knee) as players with question marks against their names.
"We have a few doubts," reported Head Coach Martin at Spurs Lodge yesterday.
"Thimothee Atouba is out, that's a certainty. Kanoute is a 10 per cent chance because he's doing well, we will have a look but the medical staff say he's definitely out.
"Michael Carrick has a slight problem with his calf and Michael Brown trained again but felt a bit sore, so we'll look again on Friday.
"Jermain Defoe is still a question mark. He did well last week before the game on Saturday but still had problems, so it's the same situation. I think he could be back in the squad but Stephen Kelly is fine and will come back."
Thimothee misses out with a knee problem while Simon Davies (recovering from virus) and Sean Davis (knee) remained sidelined.
Michael Carrick is the latest name on Martin Jol's 'doubtful' list before Saturday's FA Cup clash against Brighton.
