As reported on Thursday, Michael Brown will be missing for two weeks after sustaining a small fracture on the top of his foot against Newcastle. Mido (stomach strain), Noe Pamarot (knee), Pedro Mendes (toe), Noureddine Naybet (hamstring) and Thimothee Atouba (suspended) will also not travel.
Martin reports that Anthony Gardner is a major doubt with foot problems, while Jermain Defoe missed training on Thursday through illness and his fitness will be assessed today.
"Mido is out for two weeks, at least," said the Head Coach. "Noe has had his operation which went well, but he will be out for a long time, while Pedro is still out with his toe.
"Noureddine Naybet is not fit and there is a big doubt over Anthony Gardner with his foot. Thimothee Atouba is suspended."
Goran Bunjevcevic and Michael Dawson are in contention for a starting place in central defence should Gardner miss out.
Martin Jol has a number of fitness concerns to contend with as he prepares the squad for the trip to Anfield on Saturday.
