Kevin-Prince Boateng misses out in Slavia Prague after picking up a hamstring injury in training.

Kevin-Prince Boateng misses out in Slavia Prague after picking up a hamstring injury in training.

The midfielder suffered the strain on Tuesday and therefore hasn't travelled to the Czech Republic for Thursday's UEFA Cup Round of 32, first leg encounter.

He joins fellow hamstring sufferer Michael Dawson on the missing list and Gilberto, who has a calf problem.

Alan Hutton is ineligible as his former club Rangers have dropped into the UEFA Cup as a third-placed finisher in the Champions League.

Ledley King has travelled, as has young striker Tomas Pekhart - like Radek Cerny, a former Slavia Prague player.

Meanwhile, Gareth Bale (foot) and Benoit Assou-Ekotto (knee) remain out.
