Martin Jol has two players doubtful and six definitely out of Sunday's Premiership clash against Reading at the Madejski Stadium.

The doubtful pair are Steed Malbranque (groin) and Hossam Ghaly (hamstring) while Teemu Tainio (hernia), Calum Davenport (groin), Paul Stalteri, Pascal Chimbonda, Anthony Gardner and Mido (all knee) are all sidelined.

Martin reported this afternoon: "Steed Malbranque had a bit of a groin problem after Wednesday night but I think he'll be fine and Hossam Ghaly has a little tightness in his hamstring and is a doubt, but we'll assess him tomorrow and hopefully he'll travel with us.

"Teemu Tainio is progressing well but will be out for another week. Calum Davenport had an operation in Germany, he's doing well and will be back on ball work again next week, he'll only be out for another eight or nine days, so that's good.

"Paul Stalteri has a medial ligament problem and that could take weeks, Pascal Chimbonda also has a medial ligament injury as we feared and he will be out for Reading. He's a fit lad, some players would be out three or four weeks, others two weeks and I think hell be back in a couple of weeks.

"Mido has a cyst on his knee. It's an old injury and when he was at Roma it wasn't bothering him but now it is and he's not fit for this weekend. Anthony Gardner also has a knee injury."
