Grzegorz Rasiak is out of the New Year's Eve clash against Newcastle United after suffering a dead leg at West Brom.

Head Coach Martin Jol also revealed that Mido sat out training on Friday with a minor back problem but is expected to step back in for Grzegorz having started on the bench at the Hawthorns.

Teemu Tainio remains a doubt with his knee injury while Ledley King (groin) and Andy Reid (knee) are definitely out.

Speaking after training on Friday, Martin reported: "Grzegorz Rasiak is out with a dead leg and Mido had a little problem and didn't train today but he's assured me he'll be fine tomorrow.

"Ledley King is out and will be out for another couple of weeks but hopefully he'll be back as soon as possible because he's an important player for us.

"Teemu Tainio is still a big doubt with his knee and Andy Reid is also still out with his knee."
