The Egyptian striker has recovered well after straining abdominal muscles in training just before the Newcastle game.
That was the positive news from coach Chris Hughton before the fixture but Noureddine Naybet (hamstring), Anthony Gardner, Michael Brown (both foot), Noe Pamarot (knee) and Pedro Mendes (broken toe) all remain out.
Chris reported: "We no absentees from the squad that travelled to Liverpool.
"Mido comes back into the frame. He has done well and might be an inclusion. He's certainly ahead of what we thought but we'll wait to see what reaction he gets from training.
"Noureddine is close but we don't think he'll quite be ready.
"We have a few injuries at the moment which is a shame but looking back over the season we can't have too many complaints."
Mido hasn't been ruled out of a return to action for tonight's clash against West Brom in the Barclays Premiership.
