Glenn Hoddle reports that Dean Richards and Robbie Keane are 'touch and go' for the visit of Sunderland and that a decision will be taken on Saturday morning.
Robbie sustained an ankle injury against Newcastle, with Dean straining a knee in the same game. Both missed the 1-1 draw at Chelsea last week, but have managed some light training since.
"Robbie and Deano, who missed the Chelsea game, are touch and go and we'll have to leave a decision until Saturday morning," said Glenn.
The other senior absentees are Christian Ziege, Jamie Redknapp and Anthony Gardner. Glenn added that Anthony's hamstring injury is hopefully not as severe as initially feared.
"Anthony Gardner's injury is not as bad as we first thought, so hopefully he will be back quicker than we imagined.
"Some people suspected it might be two months, but it shouldn't be. We don't really want to put a timescale on it. He could be back in three or four weeks, hopefully he will be, but we'll re-access in three weeks time."
