Left midfielder Thimothee Atouba (knee) and left-back Erik Edman (head injury) are both ruled out while left-back Mauricio Taricco serves a suspension.
As Jacques pointed out in this morning's press briefing, Atouba could have covered for Edman before being stretchered off at Portsmouth on Monday.
"We have two bits of bad news - Edman with his head and Atouba's knee," said Jacques. "These two players are out of the game on Saturday.
"Atouba has an injury to the lateral ligament in his knee and we'll know more after four or five days. I hope it will be less time out but today I don't know.
"Atouba would have been an option for Edman and Taricco is suspended."
Asked if he was likely to play Anthony Gardner at left-back again, Jacques responded: "Today I don't know. We have a training session tomorrow morning and after that we will decide who will start on Saturday."
On the positive side of things, Jamie Redknapp returns after suspension and Sean Davis might return to the squad after a spell on the sidelines with a knee injury.
"It is good news because this has been the first week it has been possible for him to train with the team," added Jacques. "But you know when a player hasn't played for maybe two months he's not ready to play 90 minutes."
Jacques Santini faces a left-sided headache as he prepares for Saturday's Premiership clash against Bolton at the Lane.
