Harry Redknapp reports that Rafael van der Vaart is a doubt for Wednesday night's Champions League clash against Werder Bremen.
The in-form Dutch playmaker is struggling after picking up an ankle injury during Saturday's 3-2 win against Arsenal.
"Rafa's got a knock just above the ankle," said Harry."We'll have to wait and see how he is. He was quite sore this morning (Tuesday), so he's struggling a little.
"It would be a big loss to us because he's been in great form."
Harry also reported that Gareth Bale was feeling the effects of a shoulder injury, also picked up at the Emirates.
"Hopefully Gareth will be fit but he's the only other doubt," added Harry. "He was also quite sore this morning."
Good news sees Robbie Keane back in training after an ankle injury kept him out of the last three matches while Harry reported that Jermain Defoe was raring to go after returning from 10 weeks out with a substitute appearance at Arsenal.
"Jermain is certainly available and whether or not I start him or he comes off the bench, he'll play a part in the game, for sure," said Harry.
"He's looked sharp and trained well. He came off the bench at half-time on Saturday and made an impact for us and it's great to have him back.
"He's looking sharp, bright and he's ready to play."
As we reported on Friday, both Michael Dawson (ankle) and Jonathan Woodgate (groin) are making encouraging progress in their rehabilitation but remain out with Ledley King (groin) and Jamie O'Hara (back).
Heurelho Gomes is also available again in the Champions League after missing the win against Inter Milan at the Lane last time out through suspension.
