The defensive pair only managed 45 minutes of pre-season action between them with Ledley turning his ankle at Stevenage Borough and Dean missing out completely with Achilles trouble.
But both returned successfully for 90-minute stints in our reserve team's 0-0 draw against Portsmouth on Tuesday.
Glenn revealed: "They played 90 minutes for the reserves on Tuesday, came through the game okay, but it's a very, very difficult decision if one or both play and one that will be taken later rather than sooner."
Otherwise, it's a similar story - Gus Poyet (broken wrist), Christian Ziege (thigh), Darren Anderton (knee), Kazu Toda (calf) and Robbie Keane (ankle) are all sidelined.
On the plus side, Chris Perry returns after suspension and Bobby Zamora makes the squad after a slight groin problem, while Fredi Kanoute faces a late fitness test.
Squad: Keller, Sullivan, Carr, Taricco, Marney, Perry, Doherty, Gardner, Richards, King, Bunjevcevic, Acimovic, Redknapp, Davies, Ricketts, Postiga, Zamora.

Glenn Hoddle says he has a difficult decision of whether or not to bring back Dean Richards and Ledley King against Leeds today.
