Mido is expected to train today as he tries to shrug off a thigh problem before our showdown at Old Trafford on Saturday.

The Egyptian striker missed Thursday's session with the injury but Head Coach Martin Jol was confident he would be back out there today.

"It's a slight thigh injury but I think he's alright," said Martin. "I'm hoping he'll be training later but I have to speak to the medical team first."

That means Wayne Routledge, Goran Bunjevcevic (both broken bones in foot), Noe Pamarot (knee) and Anthony Gardner (thigh) are still out.

If Mido makes it, we'll have no fresh injuries from Saturday's win against Everton

Martin added: "Wayne is doing well. He's not involved in training with the main group yet but he's making solid progress. I still think it will be another four weeks though.

"Anthony is still having treatment after rupturing his thigh muscle against Aston Villa so he will be out for another three to four weeks.

"Noe is back in light training and ahead of schedule, it's been six months when it normally takes eight, nine months, so we are careful with him at the moment and Goran is still out with his foot."
