Bulgarian hitman Dimitar hasn't recovered from the groin injury he sustained on international duty on September 2 and is forced out of his fourth game with the problem.
Winger Aaron, who has undergone cartilage surgery and midfielder Steed, who has had a hernia repair, are both on the road to recovery.
Meanwhile midfielder Hossam, who did so well on his debut at Manchester United a fortnight ago, is back in the frame following a groin niggle.
Speaking at Spurs Lodge on Thursday, Martin said: "Berbatov isn't ready yet and it might take another couple of weeks.
"Malbranque is progressing well, it will be another four or five weeks and Lennon has started light training again, but it will be another five weeks. He's doing well and at the moment it's about getting the strength back in his leg. Ghaly has also trained today."
Martin Jol reports that Dimitar Berbatov is out of the trip to Liverpool on Saturday but better news sees Aaron Lennon back in light training already after knee surgery.
