The defender completed the first half of our reserve clash at his former club Ipswich Town in his first outing since a groin problem forced him off at Blackburn Rovers in early October.
He appeared untroubled in that 45-minute stint as we lost the FA Premier Reserve League encounter 2-1 in front of almost 2,000 fans at Portman Road.
"I did plenty of running as you have to as wing-back and it was nice not to feel any pain," reported Mauricio afterwards. "It was good to know that I could run without problems.
"It feels alright now but I only played 45 minutes. We'll see how it improves next week. I'm delighted though and feel I'm coming back."
Mauricio's only disappointment was not being able to get on the ball enough as Ipswich controlled the first half.
He added: "I like to play, be involved, get forward but we couldn't really do that in the first half, so that was a little frustrating. It wasn't the sort of game I like but I feel alright."
Mauricio Taricco feels he's closing in on full fitness after returning to action last night.
