Should Argentina fail to live up to their billing of favourites to win the World Cup, Mauricio Taricco has another nation to hang his hat on.
Argentina and France are ranked by the bookies as most likely to lift the trophy come the end of June and Tano, of course, hopes that his native country emerges victorious.
Our wing-back though, will be watching events unfold in Japan and South Korea from another passionate football country - his father's homeland Italy.
"I'll be in Italy," reported Tano. "In Argentina it is winter and last year I didn't really have a holiday because I trained right through.
"So this year after a long season I'm taking my family and going to Italy. I know it will be passionate, but I'm looking forward to it and we're going to have a little bit of a break from my football.
"My Dad is Italian, he lived in Italy for 16 years before going to Argentina many years ago."
Tano insists his loyalties do lie with Argentina, but he does retain the option of change.
"Yes, yes, but if Argentina gets knocked out my second team will be Italy."
