The star-packed Rome outfit are somewhat blessed with attacking Argentines, Claudio Lopez and Hernan Crespo often provide the spearhead, backed up by midfield general Diego Simeone.
Our own Mauricio Taricco, who hopes to be on duty to help negate the threat, is familiar with the much-coveted Crespo.
"I know Crespo," said Mauricio. "I played with him when we were young, he's two years older than me but we know each other. I don't know the other two.
"I played against him as well back in Argentina many years ago. I would love to play him again, but I don't know if I'll be playing - hopefully I will."
Taricco agrees that there are not many bigger names in terms of star quality than the Lazio trio - and he is just sorry they didn't produce the goods in the World Cup.
"No, name-wise, no. They are special players but they didn't do a job in the World Cup," he sighed, not cheered when reminded that Argentina were not alone in failing to shine.
"I don't care about the rest, I'm Argentinian and I wanted them to do better and get further, but they didn't."
Taricco points out that Sunday's game will be very different to the high-speed meeting with Celtic and suggests it, tempo-wise, more like last weekend's friendly with Feyenoord.
"I suppose it will be slower, they will try and keep possession and not go forward so quickly like teams in the UK.
"I'm expecting a similar game to what it was against Feyenoord, to be honest. We'll wait and see and find out."
