The full-back struck just after the break on Sunday with a shot that ricocheted off visiting keeper Jerzy Dudek. It was a special moment, but not a lasting one.
"Yes, but unfortunately we didn't win in the end so that spoils it," said Mauricio, who then looked ahead to our forthcoming games that will determine whether or not European football will be on the menu next season.
"It's going to be tough. We all want to do well and all want to win games, but it is not going for us lately.
"Hopefully we will turn that around and get a few good results. It will be a challenge to get a place in the UEFA, but we want it.
"We are optimistic - we have to be. There are games there to be played and to be won. We have the capacity to win them and it is a case of going there and doing it.
"We'll see how it goes. There is not much to say - it is time to do it."
Mauricio Taricco's first senior goal for the club against Liverpool was of little consolation to him in defeat.
