Dean Richards says we have to take our chances when we're in control of games.
That was underlined by Sunday's defeat against Charlton when we dictated the first half, failed to capitalise and Carlton Cole eventually won it for the visitors in the second half.
It was a fine first half though as Fredi Kanoute, John Jackson and Gus Poyet all went close with volleys, Dean Kiely saved well from Robbie Keane and Kanoute and when he was beaten, Scott Parker cleared Poyet's header off the line.
"It hurts," said Dean. "It's disappointing because, again, we controlled the game in the first half and they were backs to the wall.
"But we've got to start scoring when we're on top and having a good period of the game. You can't donminate a game for 90 minutes so we have to start putting the chances away when we get them."
