'Australia's Favourite Event' is the pinnacle awards programme for the events industry in Australia and gives every Australian the chance to vote for their favourite public event from a list of nominees.

At the prestigious ceremony held in Sydney this morning (this evening, Sydney time), our tour first claimed the 'Best Achievement in Marketing, Communication and Sponsorship' before scooping the top prize.

We were one of 38 finalists in the 'Best Event' category with the winner decided via a public vote.

We travelled to Malaysia and Australia at the end of last season, visiting Kuala Lumpar and Sydney and playing a Malaysia XI and Sydney FC in AIA Cup matches.

It was a tour packed full of events. The Sydney leg kicked-off with Harry Kane and Ryan Mason being photographed in front of the iconic Sydney Opera House and ended with an incredible crowd of over 80,000 fans at the ANZ Stadium for the match against Sydney FC which we won 1-0 thanks to Harry's goal.

In-between, the players climbed the Sydney Harbour Bridge, we held another successful open training session, visited Sydney Children's Hospital and enjoyed a fantastic supporters evening with Ossie Ardiles, hosted by the excellent OzSpurs.

A big 'thanks' to everyone who voted for us!
