It could happen at Highbury tonight. Senderos has impressed deputising for Sol Campbell in recent weeks while, barring injury, Reto has featured in just about every game since his debut at Everton in October.
"We both had the dream to play in England and if we play against each other it will be a big thing," said Reto.
"I would love to be involved. I feel good and I think I'm at my highest level. As I always say, all I can do is play well in training, I'm ready and I hope I play."
Reto, still just 19, made his full Swiss debut alongside Senderos against France last month.
"Philippe is a very good player," said Reto. "I play with him in the national team. I also played with him when I was 14 at Servette. He's a very good defender, a very good header of the ball and it's a great feeling to have the chance to play against him in the Premiership.
"He looks confident and with every game he's getting better and better. It's not easy to get into the Arsenal defence and he's doing well, I hope for him he continues to do well.
"When you come into a new team it's never easy. We were together like that. We both played for the national team and now we have a lot of possibilities, the Under-20 World Championship is coming soon, maybe we will go. It will be a big season for us."
Reto Ziegler would love nothing more than to line-up in a North London derby against his friend and Swiss team mate Philippe Senderos.
