Dele on Swansea test

Posted on 3 October 2015  - 10:15

Rhythm is key for Dele Alli at Swansea.

We return to Premier League action after our 1-1 draw at Monaco with a 4pm kick-off at the Liberty Stadium tomorrow (Sunday, October 4).

Renowned for their passing game, Dele feels you can’t allow the Swans to settle in possession.

"You can’t let them get into a rhythm because they have some great players on the ball,” said Dele. “But we’re confident so we’ll concentrate on what we can do and we know if we stick to our game plan, it could be a good game for us."

We travel to Wales on the back of three wins on the trot in the Premier League having come from behind to beat Manchester City 4-1 at the Lane last week.

Dele added: “We’ve had a lot of hard games but we’re on a good run, confidence is high and if we take the positives out of the game against Monaco into Swansea, I’m sure we’ll do well.

“We’ve a great team here and we need to stay strong and keep winning games.”

Dele’s confidence has been further boosted by a first call into the senior England squad for the final Euro 2016 qualifying matches against Estonia (at Wembley on Friday) and Lithuania (Monday, October 12) – Roy Hodgson has spoken about that call-up here.
