Christian Ziege has taken inspiration from a television documentary as he battles back to fitness again.
The German star has been sidelined for almost a year following a career-threatening injury on Boxing Day last year, further problems with his thigh in pre-season and now a knee injury sustained in his comeback game against West Ham in the Carling Cup.
It has been a frustrating time for the defender who was appearing in the World Cup Final for Germany only 18 months ago.
He admits it's been a year 'in the gym, rather than playing' but remains positive he can come back strong again.
"I saw something on television recently," he told us at Spurs Lodge. "I think it was an Australian programme.
"It was about a girl who was 13-years-old and loved to go out surfing. A shark took her arm off but she survived and, three days later in hospital, with only one arm, she said 'I want to be back out there in three days and try again'.
"I felt it was a good example on how to be positive.
"It's hard sometimes when you are always going to the gym and working hard when everyone else is out there training and playing, but this girl was an example of how to get on with things.
"So many people are in worst problems than me so I'll stay positive and that's the only way to go."
