Congratulations to SuperSport United, our Academy partners in South Africa, who completed a hat-trick of Absa Premiership titles on Wednesday night.

SuperSport were crowned champions again despite losing to Bidvest Wits in Atteridgeville as nearest rivals Mamelodi Sundowns lost at Jomo Cosmos.

The championship means SuperSport will now go into the 2011 African Champions League.

SuperSport, who have lost just four times in 29 league matches, are four points clear with a game remaining against AmaZulu at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday, March 6.

Coach Gavin Hunt, pictured above with the trophy, said: "My players showed a lot of heart and discipline this season and we won the title with more points than in the previous two seasons, which indicates improvement."

SuperSport will now turn their attention to this year's African Champions League campaign.

They hold a 3-1 lead over Swaziland's Mbabane Swallows going into this weekend's first round, second leg tie. The winners face AC Mitsamiouli of Comores orFerroviario Maputo from Mozambique in the second round.
