Kevin Bond described Sunday’s 1-0 win against Sunderland as our most satisfying of the campaign at White Hart Lane.
Roman Pavlyuchenko fired home the only goal of the game in the 61st minute, latching onto Rafa van der Vaart’s clever pass and drilling into the bottom corner.
That sparked our best spell of the match and chances came and went, but overall it was a hard-earned three points against a team looking for a turn in fortunes under Martin O’Neill.
“Apart from the City defeat, it’s probably our hardest game at home so far this season, so in a way, it’s the most satisfying win we’ve had at home,” said assistant boss Kevin.
“No disrespect, but people expected us to beat Sunderland at home and the Premier League is just not like that.
“We really had to work extremely hard and there were a lot of tired legs in the dressing room afterwards.
“There were a lot of excellent performances as well. It was a great win.”
