From the final whistle of last season to midnight yesterday, the summer transfer window has seen over three months of player arrivals, departures, loan deals and new deals.

In that time weve managed to snap up eight new players, nine have departed and a further three are out on loan deals to further their experience, ready to return to the Lane at a later date.

But its not all been about signings and loans “ we also extended or given new contracts to 16 of our players.

Here is the rundown of our eight arrivals

Pascal Chimbonda: Our final signing on deadline day, Pascals performances for Wigan last season saw him voted in the Premierships PFA Team of the Year by his fellow professionals and called into Frances World Cup squad. A fantastic defender, he also gives us attacking options down the right flank.

Steed Malbranque: Again, numerous clubs were reportedly interested in this skilful Frenchman but he opted for the Lane after five years at Fulham. Steed provides us with quality on the ball, hard work and the ability to play either left, right or centrally in midfield.

Mido: Needs no introduction - powerful, skilful striker who scored 11 goals for us in 27 appearances in 2005-06 after joining us on an 18-month loan from Roma in January, 2005. Is now back where he says his heart is after we agreed a permanent deal for the Egyptian international.

Dimitar Berbatov: Prolific Bulgarian international striker, Dimitar was a £10.9m capture from Bayer Leverkusen, where he was second in last seasons goalscoring chart. Opened his Spurs account in only his second Premiership match.

Didier Zokora: One of the stars of the World Cup, his performances for the Ivory Coast brought with it a number of potential suiters but we managed to snap up his signature from St Etienne.

Benoit Assou-Ekotto: Full-back who has immediately won the affection of the home crowd with his all-action displays following his switch from French club RC Lens. Also gives us options as a left midfielder.

Dorian Dervite: Talented French Under-19 skipper and defender was snapped up from Lille and joined us in July. He already impressed the coaching staff, has trained with first team squad and opened his account for the reserves in his first pre-season friendly.

Tomas Pekhart: Tall, rangy Czech youth international joined our Academy squad in July from Slavia Prague. Like Dervite, has impressed already and bagged his first goal for the Academy in his second game.

Leaving us this summer were Michael Carrick (Manchester United), Stephen Kelly (Birmingham City), Andy Reid (Charlton), Johnnie Jackson (Colchester United), Dean Marney (Hull City) and Mounir El Hamdaoui (Willem II) while Goran Bunjevcevic, Noureddine Naybet and Marcel McKie were released.

Wayne Routledge (to Fulham), Mark Yeates (to Hull City) and Rodrigo Defendi (to Roma) all went out on loan.

The following players had new or extended contracts: Skipper Ledley King, Anthony Gardner, Wayne Routledge, Mark Yeates, Andy Barcham, Robert Burch, Charlie Daniels, Simon Dawkins, Tommy Forecast, Marton Fulop, Radwan Hamed, Charlie Lee, Kieran McKenna and Jamie OHara, Chris Riley and Richard Stroud.
