The midfielder, who arrived at the Lane from Portsmouth in June 1992, is now a playing member of that squad again after three months out with a knee problem.
Darren returned to action in our Premiership defeat at Sunderland on Sunday and believes this squad has what it takes to recover from recent disappointments and push for a European spot come the end of the season.
He declared: "We've certainly got the squad, lots of good players, certainly the best squad since I've been at the club.
"Just look at the reserve team against Leicester. They could all play in the Premiership.
"From that respect, players are back from injury and we've just about a full squad at the manager's disposal and that can only be good for the club.
"It's just about how it's used and getting the right gel between those players. I'm sure the manager will get that right.
"But this is the strongest squad in my time at the club, without a doubt."
Darren Anderton has reiterated that he believes this is the strongest squad in his 10 years at Spurs.
