Harry Redknapp will field strong line-ups in our Spurs XI friendly at Leyton Orient on Friday and first team friendly at Brighton on Saturday.
The manager said he will use the matches to give most of his playing squad 90 minutes playing time as we approach the final two weeks of pre-season.
We’ve had three first team friendlies so far this summer as we lifted the Vodacom Challenge in South Africa.
Vedran Corluka, Danny Rose, David Bentley, Niko Kranjcar, Jermain Defoe and Roman Pavlyuchenko all topped up their match fitness with a run-out in our Spurs XI’s 5-3 win at MK Dons on Tuesday.
Harry will now go full out at Brisbane Road and the all-new Amex Stadium.
“We’re looking to get 90 minutes into all the players now,” he said. “The lads will all play a full game.
“We’re sending a strong squad to Orient with players like Kyle Walker, Alan Hutton, Danny Rose, Wilson Palacios, Steven Pienaar, David Bentley, Robbie Keane, Peter Crouch and Niko Kranjcar. It’s a strong team.
“We’ll mix the lads up and play a team at Orient and a team at Brighton.”
Harry said he was pleased to be taking a team to Orient again. “Orient is a smashing club,” he added. “I like the chairman, Barry Hearn. I think he’s different class. He’s gone a great job at Orient, keeping them going. It’s a good football club and always a pleasure to help them out."
