John Gorman says Monday night's game against Fulham can't come quick enough for the team - desperate to be back in action after a 16-day gap.
During this period Fulham have played two games, a 1-1 draw against Burnley in the FA Cup and a 3-0 victory over West Brom at Loftus Road on Wednesday.
"The only problem is that we've had two weeks to wait for this game, while they've been getting match practice. That is probably one thing they have got over us," pondered John, who conceded that the break should ultimately work in our favour.
"It should be an advantage because we needed to give players rest and the players that needed it have had it to make them sharper. It is a bit unfortunate that we have lost a couple of players through injury at a vital stage of the season, but hopefully it won't be too long and they'll be back.
"We're up for it, we're really looking forward to it and it can't come quick enough to be honest. We want that game and we have to wait until Monday.
"Training has been quite long, but we have had the time to work on things that sometimes you don't get. We're pleased about that, feel we are ready for the game and want to keep on winning and stay as high up that league as possible."
